Teaching Matters/NYCDOE Inquiry Project

In 2021, Teaching Matters partnered with the NYCDOE Department of Library Services to create a curriculum for a yearlong student-driven Inquiry project for NYC 8th graders. The Capstone centered on the mission of NYC school librarians to “prepare each one of our students to develop the skills and agency to be both critical consumers and creators of information as they navigate and succeed in their academic and personal lives” (Stripling, 2019).
